The Gwinnett County Veterans Resource Center (GCVRC) falls under the programs of the Gwinnett Coalition for Health & Human Services and receives support and help in meeting the needs of Gwinnett County veterans and their families. We are assisted by volunteer members from all over the community who provide support for Gwinnett County veterans.
The Center is entirely staffed by volunteers – both veterans and civilians. Hundreds of hours are donated each month to provide many invaluable services to our Gwinnett County veterans.
There is freedom to sit and chat with other veterans, receive help and resources and make new friends.
A special VetCorps committee supports the mission and the heart of the GCVRC. This active group is made up of veterans, agency providers and organizations committed to the wellbeing of our Gwinnett County veterans. They meet monthly at 9 am on the 4th Friday of each month at the GCVRC in downtown Lawrenceville to tackle important issues. Together, they are making a difference in the lives of Gwinnett County veterans and their families.
Retired Army Staff Sargent
Gwinnett County Veterans Resource Center
Danny Pagan has served our country for 27 years in the United States Army as a Logistic Specialist. He has been on 5 different deployments: Panama for Just Cause, Desert Storm Desert Shield, Somalia, Bosnia and Iraqi Freedom.
Danny has a passion for service and has found his place serving our Gwinnett County Veterans and their families through the exciting new services of the Gwinnett County Veterans Resource Center – a service of the Gwinnett Coalition for Health & Human Services.
‘Veterans Serving Veterans’ is the center’s moto – and Danny does this as a full-time volunteer because of his heart to help meet the needs of our many Gwinnett veterans. He mentors, counsels, helps fill in claims, speaks up for those unable to speak, participates in Veterans Court and Gwinnett County Jail and much more.
He is married with 7 children and calls Snellville his home though his heart is still in Puerto Rico his place of birth. He serves as a Deacon in his local church and loves to eat BBQ. He is always quick to support a veteran in need and always happy to share his heart.
