Director, Gwinnett County Department of Family and Children Services
Travis Moses is the current Director with Gwinnett County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS). He has spent most of his professional career in the human services arena upon completing graduate school in 1997.
He has been employed with the department for 18 years, serving in between Fulton and Gwinnett Counties, respectively. There are approximately 300 employees in Gwinnett DFCS serving under his leadership. His overarching goal and responsibility are to create gateways to strengthen families by providing access to supportive resources within the community. This includes the firm and consistent evaluation of processes to ameliorate safety and well-being outcomes for families and children in the county. This requires interfacing with various community stakeholders (private and public, alike) to accurately align specific needs identified by members of the diverse communities within Gwinnett County. Over the past two years, one of the collaborative initiatives continues to be centered on conciliatory efforts to enhance the brand of the department, as building and maintaining public trust remains paramount to the overall mission of the agency.
Mr. Moses is the proud father of two amazing daughters and husband to a ‘super amazing’ wife for 16 wonderful years! His pastime includes reading, listening to music, and traveling with his family and friends. He exudes an ongoing passion to serve by lending his talents to improve the lives of others and continually sharpens his skill set to be a beacon of hope for those in need.
