Marqus holds a bachelor degree in Political Science from Georgia State University (08), a Juris Doctorate from DePaul College of Law (J.D. ’12), and is on staff as a Community Pastor at Grace Snellville in the suburbs of Atlanta. Marqus also serves as the National Director of Church and Community Engagement at the Evangelical Environmental Network.

Marqus was trained as part of the initial cohort of the Racial Justice Training Institute (’14), and has subsequently mentored others and remained an active part of the national community of advocates for a more just and equitable community. Marqus, his wife Amanda, his two daughters and dog enjoy exploring the parks all around Gwinnett County.
